PATIENTS’ RIGHTS IN EUROPE
A CITIZENS’ REPORT was presented by ACN in
Brussels on 28 February - 1 March during a conference held in the European
Parliament. The Report is based on the monitoring European Charter of
Patients’ Rights, in cooperation with 13 national-based citizens’
organizations. This is a concrete experience in European active citizenship
where civic organizations have directly produced information regarding the
level of attention being given to patients’ rights. This information is not
available in official statistics and can only enrich the present data and
information on health care at the European level.
